Meg
lived with spiritual masters in
a variety of secluded, austere environments. One of her most
influential teachers was Grandmother Keewaydinoquay, one of the
last traditionally trained medicine women of the Great Lakes. Meg
lived with Kee for months at a time on a wilderness island in
Lake Michigan for several years. With no running water
or electricity, Meg learned more of her Ojibway heritage including
uses of the medicinal plants, ceremonies, songs, stories and
most importantly, Ojibway philosophy which values human creativity
as an important contribution to the perfection of nature.
Later in life, as an at-home mother, Meg taught
herself to trade on the stock market. She immediately
noticed the same patterns of human nature applying to investing. She
saw the importance of integrating business principles of value,
prosperity, personal responsibility, freedom and risk-taking
into the ancient spiritual tenets of appreciation, acceptance
of the unknown, inner calm, and service to others.
Meg has been a student of many other profound teachers, including Yogi
Desai of the Kripalu Holistic Health Center, Caroline Myss and
Norm Shealy of the Science of Intuition Institute, Justine McDevitt,
author and mentor, Bhante Seelagawesi Thero of the Nissarana
Monastery in Sri Lanka, and Marshall Goldsmith, corporate America's
preeminent executive coach.
In addition, Meg is a trained mediator,
a professional member of the International Society for the
Study of Subtle Energy and Energy Medicine (ISSSEEM), a participant
in the exclusive Council Grove Conference on Consciousness,
member of the Sandler Sales Institute President's Club and
a certified IBD stock market investor and teacher.
